Seymour’s unique GIRLbeing Framework guides the growth of each girl, resulting in young women with strong hearts and minds.
Seymour’s unique GIRLbeing Framework guides the growth of each girl, resulting in young women with strong hearts and minds.
Our unique GIRLbeing framework encourages and guides the growth of gritty, resilient and independent learners, in a school environment that fosters the development of young women ready to follow their chosen path.
We recognise that there are many issues and factors that impact upon the ability of girls and young women to negotiate their way through an increasingly complex and rapidly changing world. The setbacks, triumphs, hardships and successes experienced along the way are what help students to grow, regardless of the destination. The GIRLbeing Framework guides the growth of each Seymour girl, resulting in young women with strong hearts and minds.
Across the entire College, support from our team of staff and teachers, as well as access to our fulltime College psychologists, ensures our girls are supported every step of their Seymour journey.
Seymour works in partnership with Swinburne University in the delivery of Aristotle, their emotional intelligence (EI) program, as part of our Barr Smith Campus wellbeing curriculum. The focus of the program is to develop, improve and implement EI across the College community. Aristotle has been developed using evidence based research and we work with Swinburne to tailor programs specifically to the needs of Seymour girls. EI education is now widely accepted as integral to establishing positive mental health and resilience in students and it underpins Seymour’s GIRLbeing program.

Seymour College acknowledges that the land where we live, learn and work is the traditional lands of the Kaurna people, the original people of the Adelaide Plains and wooded foothills of the Mt Lofty Ranges, where Seymour College now stands.
