Seymour College is committed to offering a flexible curriculum which supports Senior School students to achieve their goals and ambitions.
The SACE is a flexible and responsive curriculum framework which offers the opportunity to plan and develop a course of study that is diverse and which meets the personal needs of individuals. A broad range of interesting and challenging subjects are offered to cater for students with different future aspirations.
The SACE gives students the opportunity to gain recognition and credit for Community Based Learning and Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses, and - where appropriate - students may be encouraged to consider taking these courses for personal development or as an organised alternative to their academic program.
The SACE also includes
- a dedicated subject (Personal Learning Plan), designed to assist students to discern and discover their interests, strengths, ambitions and potential career pathways;
- the Research Project, which is designed to provide students with the opportunity to direct their own learning while expanding on their planning
