The Middle School curriculum offers students the opportunity to experience a broad range of subjects, while facilitating the development of deeper understanding and an appreciation of learning. Authentic learning is facilitated by allowing students to engage in individual or collaborative activities within and beyond the classroom.
The curriculum represents a progression from a core curriculum in Years 6, 7 and 8 to a more differentiated course of study in Year 9.
This provides a balance between breadth of curriculum and the specialisation necessary in preparation for senior secondary education.
This approach further allows younger students to experience all learning areas before they are asked to make more specific choices from a range of option subjects.
A copy of the Middle School Curriculum Guide 2017 is available for download below. As the curriculum is reviewed each year in line with student interests and State and National changes, the range of subjects offered is subject to change. For further information please contact the Enrolments Office.
