Our Music scholarships are open to instrumental and voice students who seek to enter the College at Year 6 through to Year 11 in 2019, and to girls currently attending Seymour College in Year 5 through to Year 10 in 2018.

The Music scholarships program enables girls with exceptional musical skill to benefit from a Seymour College education while developing their own talent within an atmosphere of excellence in Performing Arts. All Music scholarship recipients are expected to be involved in the academic and performance programs in Music as well as extra-curricular bands or ensembles.

Applicants must be a minimum standard of AMEB Grade 3 or equivalent. They need to display excellence as performers, with a high degree of technical proficiency and musicality on one or more instruments. They will be required to play an active part in the musical life of the College in curricular and co-curricular endeavours.

Applicants are required to submit:

A letter, in their own words, stating reasons for applying for the scholarship and outlining current and future goals. Any recent music instrumental or vocal examination reports should accompany the application.

Copies of the two latest school reports and NAPLAN results are to be supplied with the application. Each short-listed applicant will be required to have an audition.
