The Boarding Scholarships and Isolated Student Scholarship are open to girls who wish to enter Seymour College at Year 6 through to Year 10 in 2018.

Seymour College’s Boarding scholarship program exists to support and foster the diversity of our population by ensuring that an education at Seymour College is accessible to a wide range of students.

To that end, we are pleased to be able to offer Boarding scholarships to families from all parts of rural Australia. In addition, one scholarship will be offered to a student who meets the isolated students’ criteria as defined by Centrelink for the AIC allowance.

The Boarding scholarship program seeks to offer places to students who will add to the diverse nature of the College’s day and boarding communities. While academic excellence is not a prerequisite for a Boarding scholarship, a student’s commitment to her schooling is.

Applicants are required to submit:

A letter, in the applicant’s own words, stating her reasons for applying for the scholarship and outlining her current and future goals as well as a portfolio showcasing experience. Scholarships are offered at the discretion of the Principal.

Short listed candidates will be required to have an interview with the Principal, as part of the application process.

Copies of the two latest school reports and NAPLAN results, any awards or certificates outlining performance levels in areas of interest, including any leadership roles within school or the community. Scholarships are offered at the discretion of the Principal.
