Welcome to the Seymour College Orientation page. Here you will find information relating to your daughter's commencement at Seymour.
A contemporary education must equip students for the world they will enter on leaving school. Access to technology, digital information, tools and resources are obvious first steps. To that end, Seymour College has introduced a one-to-one digital program. For further details please click here.
As part of our Technology Plan and commitment to learning, we require each student in Years 6 – 12 to have a laptop. Parents are asked to select the device for their daughter from those listed on the Which device to choose page.
Books and stationery
The College book lists for 2017 are available online through Campion Australia. The resource list code is u2mr. A paper booklist can be downloaded from the Campion website. The required stationery is listed with each subject, if your daughter already has some items you may not need to purchase all the stationery listed.
Please note: Australia Post offices will hold orders for up to four weeks if you are not at home, before returning them to the Campion office for collection.
Boarders are reminded to tick the Boarding box when ordering, to ensure that their order is delivered to the Boarding House ready for collection.
All queries regarding new textbooks are to be directed to Campion on (08) 8337 4544 or via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Second-hand book purchases can be made at the Second-Hand Book Sale during the last week of Term 4. This is run by the Parents' and Friends' Association and will still allow parents time to order from Campion after the sale. For further information and to obtain your order form please contact Kay Gray on (08) 8303 9072 or email Kay at DeputyPrincipalsOffice@seymour.sa.edu.au

By Middle School, students are encouraged to view the classroom as their place of work and hence it is important that they are developing the skills and resilience to work with a diverse population amongst their peers and staff.
When deciding class groups, teaching staff consider academic abilities, social behaviours and skills, teaching and learning styles and the overall balance of class groupings. Students commencing in Term 1 are advised of their form classes via letter in mid-January.
