Bequest Society

Seymour's future depends on the steps taken today to plan for the future. A gift in your Will can create wonderful opportunities for the students of tomorrow, and ultimately a better world for all of us.

The importance of making a Will is known to all. After considering the needs of those closest to them, many people find they can also fulfill some of their philanthropic ideals.

A gift or bequest doesn't have to be a great deal of money to make it worthwhile - it all makes a difference. However the more you and others give, the better Seymour College can offer girls and young women a diverse and dynamic education, empowering them to engage with and contribute to their ever-changing world.

Bequests can be made in a variety of ways to reflect a person's particular wishes. They can be defined personal assets such as shares or property, fixed sums or simply a percentage of an estate.

Bequests are usually directed to the College for use at its discretion. These unencumbered gifts allow the school to use the funds where they are needed most. Unrestricted gifts give the Principal and the Board the flexibility to direct funds to identified priority areas.

However, if you wish, a bequest can be directed to specific areas such as the Library, scholarships and prizes or the Building Fund.
