Co-curricular

We offer a broad range of opportunities, to allow each girl to find their passion.

Co-curricular offering

At Seymour, we know students learn many of their most profound and lasting lessons in co-curricular activities, which is why we focus on providing diverse opportunities for our students.

Girls have the opportunity to win with grace and lose with dignity, work productively with others and be part of a team, master a skill, enjoy a personal best or dig deep to find ways to overcome a hurdle, tackle a challenging musical piece, celebrate a success and take critical advice.

The skills gained are not only practical. They also learn self-discipline, teamwork and values that can be drawn upon throughout their lives.

Sport

Sport at Seymour is thriving

Despite not being compulsory, our sport program has an impressive participation rate. Our girls love being a part of the Seymour team, learning new sports and finding a passion that stays with them for life.

Oratory

Our Oratory program allows girls to learn the skills and develop the confidence to ensure that their voice is heard.

Inclusive of Debating, Mooting, Public Speaking and Mock Trial, Seymour has a proud history of Oratory success.

Clubs and societies

We encourage our students to connect and collaborate with others and through our extensive range of clubs and societies, our girls can share their passions with each other.

Seymour offers a range of clubs and societies to enable students to partake in activities that they already enjoy or to become involved in something new.

Each of our programs provide important opportunities for enhancing knowledge, skills, friendships and confidence. Participation with like-minded friends, as well as the opportunity to forge new relationships, are a key part of co-curricular participation. Equally, developing skills and an appreciation of making a commitment to a group and learning are important aspects of being a member of the Seymour community.
