Seymour Community - Parents and Friends Association

Parents' and Friends' Association

The Parents' and Friends' Association (P&F) is a voluntary organisation consisting of parents from all year levels and friends of Seymour College. Our aim is to have many and varied friend-raising and fundraising activities throughout the year to suit all members of the College community.

The P&F works closely together as a team and is a wonderful way for new families to feel part of the College.

The P&F Committee is elected each year at the Annual General Meeting in November and meets monthly during term time. With the aim of promoting communication and coordination within the school structure, we have representatives from the Boarding House Parents' Committee and the Old Collegians' Association on the Committee. We also work closely with the College Principal and Development Office.

Each class or year level has two or three Parent Representatives who are responsible for liaising with other parents, organising casual get-togethers, providing assistance if a situation arises when a family may need the group's support and rallying support for P&F activities.

The P&F has a broad fundraising program in place and provides financial support and sponsorship for a variety of school priorities, providing resources for both curricular and co-curricular activities. Some of our fundraising activities include:

  • Catering at Swimming Sports, the Music Cabaret Evening and Clash of the Clans
  • Junior School Sausage Sizzles
  • Fathers' Day Breakfast
  • Year 6/7 Disco
  • Entertainment Book sales
  • Wine Fundraiser

The Seymour Parents' and Friends' Association is a vibrant, active and committed part of the College community. It fulfils a valuable bridging role between the parent body and the College. Our President, Suzanne Flint, and all Committee members look forward to your support in the coming year. If you would like to help at one of our events or simply find out more about the P&F please feel free to contact us via the Development Office on 08 8379 0011.
