Co-curricular
Activities
Girls
are encouraged to participate in the co-curricular
program which is diverse and considered an integral
part of the educational environment at Seymour.
Sport, music, debating, clubs, extension and
support programs, academic competitions and the
Duke of Edinburgh Scheme provide further
opportunity for enhancing knowledge, skills,
friendships and confidence.
The
co-curricular
program includes:
- Clan Choral Competition
- Computer Club
- Debating
- Duke of Edinburgh Award
- Maths Club
- Music (choirs, orchestras, various
ensembles, recorder consorts, Concert Band)
- Orator of the Year
- Pedal Prix
- Science Club
- Share Market Simulation Game
- Sporting activities (athletics,
badminton, basketball, cricket, cross country, equestrian, gymnastics,
hockey, netball, soccer, softball, squash, swimming, tennis, triathlons,
volleyball)
- Sports Centre - weights room, badminton,
basketball, squash and volleyball courts and table tennis facilities
- Tournament of Minds
The
extra-curricular
program provides opportunities for private tuition
in:
- Instrumental
music
- Sporting
activities including aerobics, dancing classes,
gymnastics, jazz ballet, tennis
- Trinity College
classes (Effective Communication, Drama, Musical
Theatre, Performance Arts and Speech and
Drama)
