Co-curriculum

Girls are encouraged to participate in the diverse co-curricular program which is considered an integral part of the educational environment at Seymour. Sport, music, debating, clubs, extension and support programs, academic competitions and the Duke of Edinburgh Scheme provide further opportunity for enhancing knowledge, skills, friendships and confidence. Form Teachers assist students with planning their co-curricular program in order for them to develop healthy time-management skills.

The co-curricular program includes:

  • Clan Activities (swimming, athletics, choral, sporting)
  • Debating
  • Duke of Edinburgh Award
  • Music (choirs, orchestras, various ensembles, Concert Band)
  • Junior Orator

  • Performance (musical, drama)
  • Rostrum Voice of Youth
  • Science Club
  • Sporting activities (athletics, badminton, basketball, cricket, cross country, equestrian, gymnastics, hockey, lacrosse, netball, rowing, soccer, softball, squash, swimming, tennis, triathlons, volleyball, water polo)
  • Tournament of Minds

The extra curricular program provides opportunities for private tuition in:

  • Instrumental music
  • Sporting activities including aerobics, gymnastics, tennis
  • Trinity College classes (Effective Communication, Drama, Musical Theatre, Performance Arts and Speech and Drama)
