Seymour College is proud to offer theatre workshops with Joan Leslie and Alicia Zorkovic from 'Actually Acting'.
Joan Leslie has lived and breathed theatre for most of her life - from attending theatre school in England, working as a professional actor and vaudeville star in the UK as well as touring with the War Office. She came to Australia as Snow White in a touring production and stayed! She has been teaching children in Adelaide for over 30 years and brings with her vast experience and intuitive training. She has been teaching the Trinity Guildhall syllabus at Seymour for almost 10 years and has had huge success with her many students.
Alicia Zorkovic was introduced to theatre by Joan Leslie in the 80s. After studying with her for many years she joined local community theatre groups until being accepted into WAAPA (West Australian Academy of Performing Arts). Since then she has appeared in numerous productions, film and TV commercials. Alicia has been running Trinity Guildhall drama classes at Seymour College for the past 5 years and also is the SA Representative for Trinity Guildhall. She brings a working knowledge of the theatre and passionately believes in quality training for children as a way of building self confidence and developing teamwork, as well as having fun.
