Seymour OCA Hockey Club
The Hockey Club had a successful year with new events and functions held throughout the year. The Metro 1 team had success, reaching the Preliminary final, losing to Port Adelaide in what was a very close game. This year we ran a Quiz Night held in the College’s CPA. The event was a huge success and thanks go to many of our sponsors who supplied wine, gifts and prizes for the night. Special thanks to our major sponsor The Maid Hotel who again has supported the club. This year the club received support from several new sponsors, Serafina Jewellery (Stores at Norwood and Unley) who provided some jewellery pieces to our best players and runner up this year, including vouchers and shopping discounts to our members. Infocus Money Management at Fullarton also provided sponsorship with this year’s registration night, and a sausage sizzle day in conjunction with Coopers Brewery for our “Blokes Day”, celebrating Father’s Day. We would like to thank our sponsors, and all those people who volunteered their time supporting the club this year. It is only with their support that we can continue to grow our club. The end of year celebrations started with a hit of golf at the Tapp Inn, followed by lunch at the Tin Cat Café, and ended with drinks back at The Maid. Congratulations to best players, Aimee Chadwick and Simone Duirs. I wish to thank the 2011 Committee Members, Al Francia, Veronica Rothe (Sopru ’97), Aimee Chadwick, Georgie Fried and Jodie Camilleri, for all their hard work, making this year a fantastic season!
