Strategic Plan 2009-2012 (405 KB)
The College's Master Building Plan defines for Seymour College a clear and exciting direction for the next two decades that will ensure our facilities are not only of a world-class standard, but are also responsive to our community's particular needs. Seymour College is well known in Australia and internationally for providing students with an excellent and holistic education, and it is this well deserved reputation that sees continuing demand for places in all three sub-schools.
In order to provide for current and future generations of students the high educational standard and the contemporary learning environment for which the College is so well known, it is essential that we continue a staged and strategic upgrading and development of our facilities.
The Plan recognises a number of key features of our campus. In addition to acknowledging that there are several significant historical buildings on the campus, the campus' spaciousness and its park-like feel are two other important features that this Plan aims to preserve. Spaces between the buildings are as important as the buildings themselves, and these spaces will be developed, where appropriate, to enhance passive recreation, to provide meeting places and alternative learning environments, and to promote a sense of calm and peacefulness.
